Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a drop in Turnover, Market Capitalization & Index . This information was disclosed in the weekly market review from the DSE.

According to sources, (4 working days) the turnover of DSE dropped by Tk 2 thousand 190 crore 48 lakh (24 September – 27 September). At the same time, the market capitalization has decreased by 1 thousand 626 crore 18 lakh 88 thousand 539 taka.

The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ lost by 25.11 points or 0.40 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 6,284 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ declined 5.01 points or 0.37 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,359 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ decreased by 5.75 points or 0.27 percent, hence the index stands at 2,140 points.

Shares and units worth 1 thousand 814 crore 33 lakh taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 77 thousand 475 crore 46 lakh 76 thousand 23 taka.

Shares and units of 403 companies were traded on Bourse during the week. Of these, 205 shares were unchanged, 114 companies declined, and 47 companies advanced.

Union Insurance Company Limited has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. It is known that 1 crore 7 lakh 25 thousand 111 shares of the company were traded throughout the week. Its market value is 79 crore 56 lakh takas.

Ambee Pharmaceuticals PLC has ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. It is known that the share traded a total of Tk 10 crore 90 lakh, which is an average of 2 crore 72 lakh per day. The share has risen 14.00 percent to its highest price.

Crystal Insurance Company Limited has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. It is known the share traded a total of Tk 36 crore 51 lakh, which is an average of 9 crore 13 lakh shares per day. The share has dropped 15.85 percent lowest in the last week.
