A delegation of Bangladeshi think tanks recently embarked on a visit to China aimed at fostering information exchange and knowledge sharing. The trip was organized and coordinated by the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, facilitating meaningful interactions and discussions.
During their visit, the Bangladeshi delegation engaged in extensive dialogues with scholars from the China Institute of International Studies. Topics covered included the Bay of Bengal region’s current situation, China-Bangladesh relations, and collaboration under the “Belt and Road” initiative.
Furthermore, the delegation had the opportunity to hold discussions with both educators and students at Peking University. They explored subjects such as the development of the South Asia Research Centre and the teaching and research of the Bengali language at Peking University.
Leading the delegation was Ambassador Farooq Sobhan, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh. The delegation comprised scholars from prominent institutions like the Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) and the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS).
