US Stock Indices Display Volatile Week

The S&P 500 index successfully halted a streak of four consecutive weeks of declines by registering a slight gain. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average experienced a minor dip, and the NASDAQ Composite saw a notable increase of nearly 2%. These developments, however, were accompanied by market turbulence, driven by evolving expectations leading up to the release of the monthly U.S. employment report scheduled for Friday.

Reviewing the US Stock Markets, the Nasdaq Composite, recorded a decent loss of 24 points, reaching a closing value of 13,407 points by the end of the week. Similarly, the S&P 500 index showed a positive trend, adding 19 points to settle at 4,327 points. Meanwhile, DJIA Index experienced a notable shed, gaining by 263 points during the week and concluding at 33,670 points after a week of gain.

In contrast, Russell 3000 Index saw a gain in week performance, with a slight gain of 7 points to reach 2,473 points by the end of the week.

Moving to Russell 2000 Index, demonstrated a notable drop of 26 points, ending the week at a steady 1,719 points.
