Energypac, Nidec Forge Path for Electrical Innovation in Bangladesh

In a significant development, Energypac Power Generation PLC has entered into an agreement with Nidec Leroy-Somer to become the exclusive distributor of their commercial, industrial, and appliance motors and controls in Bangladesh. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony took place at Energy Point in Dhaka, solidifying this partnership.

The MoU was signed by Humayun Rashid, Managing Director & CEO of Energypac Power Generation PLC, and Srinivasan R, Director – After-Sale Service at Leroy-Somer, Nidec Industrial Automation India Private Ltd. The ceremony was attended by Mohammad Masum Parvez, Chief Business Officer, Power and Energy Division, and Md. Afzal Hossain, Senior Manager, PED Service & Spares from Energypac.

Nidec Leroy-Somer, a renowned global leader in electromechanical drive systems, electronic drive systems, and industrial alternators, has a history dating back to 1919. They have provided solutions for electricity generation and movement transmission worldwide. With this agreement, people in Bangladesh gain access to Nidec’s top-quality motors and alternators, integral components of generators. These solutions are not only reliable but also innovative, catering to a wide range of applications across various industries.

Energypac, as part of this collaboration, will offer Nidec’s spare parts, after-sales support, and warranty-related services for medium and high-voltage alternators, spanning from 20 kVA to 4 MVA.
