One of the listed companies’ life funds, Popular Life Insurance Limited, discloses its financial reports for the third quarter, (July-September 23). This source is known from DSE.
According to the consolidated life revenue account of the company for July to September 2023, there was a deficit of Tk 69 crore 46 lakh, which is higher than the deficit of Tk 44 crore 60 lakh during the same period in 2022. When considering the consolidated life revenue account for January to September 2023, the deficit was Tk 152 crore 11 lakh, as opposed to a deficit of Tk 280 crore 42 lakh in the corresponding period of 2022. As of September 30, 2023, the Balance of Life Insurance Fund stood at Tk 1 thousand 535 crore 12 lakh, indicating a net increase of Tk 19 crore 3 lakh compared to Tk 1 thousand 516 crore 9 lakh on September 30, 2022.
