Turnover, Market Cap Hikes amidst Index drops on Weekly DSE Reports

DSE Bourse Index Capitalization Weekly hikes bull market

Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a hike in Turnover & Market Capitalization, on the other hand Index dropped. This information was disclosed in the weekly market review from the DSE.

According to sources, (5 working days) the turnover of DSE dropped by Tk 359 crore 93 lakh (October 29-November 26). At the same time, the market capitalization has increased by 459 crore 79 lakh 19 thousand 776 taka.

The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ lost by 7.93 points or 0.13 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 6,267 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ dropped 3.33 points or 0.24 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,359 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ decreased by 1.82 points or 0.09 percent, hence the index stands at 2,133 points.

Shares and units worth 2 thousand 195 crore 23 lakh taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 84 thousand 528 crore 57 lakh 86 thousand 167 taka.

Shares and units of 403 companies were traded on Bourse during the week. Of these, 229 shares were unchanged, 79 companies declined, and 70 companies advanced.

Fu Wang Foods Limited has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. It is known that 3 crore 96 lakh 13 thousand 327 shares of the company were traded throughout the week. Its market value is 127 crore 23 lakh takas.

Samorita Hospital Limited has ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. It is known that the share traded a total of Tk 69 crore 22 lakh, which is an average of 13 crore 84 lakh per day. The share has risen 32.28 percent to its highest price.

Monno Agro General Machinery Limited has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. It is known the share traded a total of Tk 22 crore 24 lakh, which is an average of 4 crore 44 lakh shares per day. The share has dropped 30.07 percent lowest in the last week.
