The Bangladesh Monitor, a prominent travel publication, has launched an innovative awards program designed to acknowledge outstanding contributions in the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors within Bangladesh. The award recipients, selected through a meticulous process, will be revealed at an exclusive gala ceremony in May of the upcoming year. This announcement was made during a press conference held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the capital city, as per an official press release.
Distinguished speakers at the conference included Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Professor Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam, CEO of Bangladesh Tourism Board Abu Tahir Muhammad Zaber, and Kazi Wahidul Alam, the editor of The Bangladesh Monitor. The awards will span four key categories: tourism, travel, hospitality, and restaurants. An esteemed jury panel, representing various sectors including civil society and media, will be responsible for selecting the deserving awardees.
The evaluation process will involve a combination of factors, including online public opinion, overall public perception, the jury panel’s expert opinions, and other criteria. Additionally, the organization’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives will be taken into account during the judgment process.
