In a significant development, Imran Kadir has clinched the position of 2024 National President for Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh. The announcement came during the 2023 General Assembly held at Le Meridian Hotel in Dhaka on Saturday, November 11th. The assembly marked the formation of the 2024 National Board, with Niaz Morshed Elite, the 2023 Immediate Past National President, serving as the Election Commissioner. The chain handover from the current National President, Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan, to Imran Kadir was completed during the event.
Expressing gratitude for his election, Imran Kadir acknowledged the members who entrusted him with this responsibility. JCI Bangladesh, recognized as the largest non-political platform for young people, is dedicated to their holistic development. Kadir outlined his 2024 goals, aiming to elevate JCI Bangladesh by creating widespread opportunities for youth nationally and fostering international collaborations for business relations and employment prospects. Additionally, the organization plans to address critical issues such as mental health, poverty reduction, tree plantation, environmental protection, women empowerment, and other social concerns.
Imran Kadir, currently the Head of Sales and Marketing at The Daily Star and actively involved in multiple startups, also co-founded the Mission Save Bangladesh Foundation. A graduate in Legal Studies from the University of London (UoL), Kadir brings a wealth of experience to his new role. JCI, an international leadership development platform for individuals aged 18-40, operates globally from its headquarters in the United States. Presently, JCI has a presence in 120 countries with over 200,000 members. In Bangladesh, there are currently 41 Local Organizations of JCI tirelessly working towards youth empowerment.
