Dhaka Bourse Shrinks in the Recent Week

Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a drop in Turnover, Market Capitalization & Indices. This information was disclosed in the weekly market review from the DSE.

According to sources, (5 working days) the turnover of DSE lost by Tk 173 crore 17 lakh (November 19-November 23). At the same time, the market capitalization has decreased by 2 thousand 750 crore 95 lakh 77 thousand 969 taka.

The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ dropped by 23.44 points or 0.37 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 6,233 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ added 6.74 points or 0.50 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,352 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ decreased by 12.22 points or 0.58 percent, hence the index stands at 2,106 points.

Shares and units worth 2 thousand 2 crore 10 lakh taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 72 thousand 491 crore 55 lakh 74 thousand 255 taka.

Shares and units of 403 companies were traded on Bourse during the week. Of these, 215 shares were unchanged, 120 companies declined, and 43 ompanies advanced.

Fu Wang Foods Limited has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. It is known that 7 crore 35 lakh 66 thousand 981 shares of the company were traded throughout the week. Its market value is 158 crore 96 lakh takas.The Company has also ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. It is known that the share traded a total of Tk 158 crore 96 lakh, which is an average of 31 crore 79 lakh per day. The share has risen 27.59 percent to its highest price.

Emerald Oil Industries Limited has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. It is known the shares traded a total of Tk 52 crore 84 lakh, which is an average of 10 crore 57 lakh shares per day. The share has dropped 14.62 percent lowest in the last week.
