Dhaka Bourse Reports Varied Results on the Past Week

Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a drop in Turnover, Market Capitalization on the other hand Index mixed. This information was disclosed in the weekly market review from the DSE.

According to sources, (5 working days) the turnover of DSE lost by Tk 94 crore 18 lakh (November 26-November 30). At the same time, the market capitalization has decreased by 674 crore 64 lakh 96 thousand 618 taka.

The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ dropped by 10.68 points or 0.17 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 6,223 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ added 0.67 points or 0.05 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,353 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ increased by 1.61 points or 0.08 percent, hence the index stands at 2,108 points.

Shares and units worth 1 thousand 907 crore 91 lakh taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 71 thousand 816 crore 90 lakh 77 thousand 637 taka.

Shares and units of 403 companies were traded on Bourse during the week. Of these, 222 shares were unchanged, 92 companies declined, and 63 ompanies advanced.

Khulna Printing & Packaging Limited has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. It is known that 3 crore 62 lakh 32 thousand 68 shares of the company were traded throughout the week. Its market value is 87 crore 53 lakh takas.

GQ Ballpen IndustriesLimited ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. It is known that the share traded a total of Tk 17 crore 62 lakh, which is an average of 3 crore 52 lakh per day. The share has risen 32.67 percent to its highest price.

Bd. Thai Aluminium Limited has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. It is known the shares traded a total of Tk 37 crore 12 lakh, which is an average of 7 crore 42 lakh shares per day. The share has dropped 22.89 percent lowest in the last week.
