Faruque Hassan, the President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), highlighted the crucial role of the media in reshaping the global perception of Bangladesh’s garment industry.
During a meeting with Farida Yasmin, President of the Jatiya Press Club in the capital, Hassan expressed gratitude for the media’s significant contributions in promoting a positive image of the apparel sector both locally and internationally. He acknowledged the media’s influence in dispelling myths and showcasing the industry’s achievements and positive stories worldwide.
Hassan emphasized the need for accurate and comprehensive reporting to remove misconceptions and invited media cooperation in highlighting the industry’s transformative impact on Bangladesh’s socio-economic landscape. He also extended an invitation for a tour of BGMEA to showcase initiatives in R&D, circularity, sustainability, market promotion, and design development.
