Bangladesh achieved a historic milestone in its export sector as the total export value soared to $5.72 billion in January, breaking all previous records. This marks an impressive 11.45% growth compared to the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year (2022-2023). The previous highest export value in a single month was recorded in December of the last fiscal year, standing at $5.37 billion.
Looking at the cumulative export figures for the period of July to January in the fiscal year 2022-2023, the total exports amounted to $32.44 billion. In comparison, during the same period in the current fiscal year, the export value stands at $33.26 billion, reflecting a notable growth of 2.52%. This positive trend underscores the resilience and expansion of Bangladesh’s export sector.
