The DSE Brokers Association of Bangladesh (DBA), representing Trading Rights Entitlement Certificates (Trec) holders at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), recognized 20 brokerage firms for their exceptional performance in 2023. The top brokers were chosen based on their position as volume leaders at the DSE, with the selection criteria focusing solely on turnover.
The awarded brokerage firms include UCB Stock Brokerage, LankaBangla Securities, BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage, EBL Securities, Sheltech Brokerage, IDLC Securities, City Brokerage, Shanta Securities, Bank Asia Securities, ICB Securities, NRBC Bank Securities, MTB Securities, United Financial Trading Company, BD Sunlife Securities, Royal Capital, Prime Bank Securities, Capital Market Services Limited, United Securities, IIDFC Securities, and Bangladesh Finance Securities.
In a ceremony held at the DSE Tower in Nikunja-2, the DBA celebrated its membership in the Asia Securities Forum (ASF) and honored the top brokerage firms. Ahasanul Islam Titu, the State Minister of Commerce, served as the chief guest, presenting the awards to the brokers. The DBA joined the Asia Securities Forum, an organization comprising securities entities in the Asia-Oceania region, in January of the previous year.
DSE Chairman Professor Hafiz Md Hasan Babu attended the event as a special guest, and Saiful Islam, the President of DBA and a director of BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Limited, chaired the program.
