FBCCI

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) is advocating for a proactive role from commercial counsellors stationed at the country’s embassies worldwide. The focus is on leveraging their influence to open up new markets for Bangladeshi exports across different countries.

FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam, during a recent meeting with newly appointed officers of Commercial Counsellors and First Secretary (Commercial) in various countries, underscored the pivotal role these officials play in attracting foreign investment for Bangladesh’s Special Economic Zones (EPZs).

Alam emphasized the significance of foreign investment in fostering economic development and expanding Bangladesh’s market presence, especially amid global challenges. He expressed the FBCCI’s commitment to maintaining commercial aspects even during crises and urged the appointed officials to actively contribute to market diversification and export growth.

The FBCCI President encouraged the officers to establish robust communication channels with domestic and foreign development organizations, as well as national and international commercial entities. He assured them of full cooperation from the FBCCI in their efforts to strengthen Bangladesh’s economic ties globally.

The meeting, attended by FBCCI Senior Vice President Md. Amin Helaly, Vice Presidents Mohammad Anwar Sadat Sarkar and Md. Munir Hossain, and FBCCI Secretary General Muhammad Alamgir, highlighted the collaborative approach to advancing Bangladesh’s economic interests on the international stage.
