Jewellers across the country have decided to slash gold prices by Tk1,750 per bhori (11.664 grams).
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) announced this decision today (March 19) following a decline in the price of pure gold in the local market.
According to a press release issued by the association, the new prices will come into effect from tomorrow (March 20).
Under the revised rates, 22-carat gold will be priced at Tk1,11,158 per bhori, down from the previous Tk1,12,907, which was the highest price in the country’s history. Additionally, 21-carat gold will now cost Tk1,06,142, 18-carat gold Tk90,989, and traditional gold Tk75,816.
