Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a hike in Indices, Market Capitalization & Turnover throughout the whole week. This information was disclosed in the weekly market review from the DSE.
According to sources, (5 working days) the turnover of DSE added by Tk 198 crore 44 lakh (March 31 – April 4). At the same time, the market capitalization has increased by 659 crore 59 lakh taka.
The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ gained by 17.79 points or 0.31 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 5,796 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ added 11.87 points or 0.95 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,266 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ increased by 3.84 points or 0.19 percent, hence the index stands at 2,014 points.
Shares and units worth 2 thousand 174 crore 20 lakh taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 6 lakh 79 thousand 908 crore 62 lakh taka.
Shares and units of 411 companies were traded on Bourse during the week. Of these, 39 shares were unchanged, 168 companies declined, and 188 companies advanced.
Shinepukur Ceramics Limited has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. The Company records an average turnover of 23 crore 57 lakh taka.
Maksons Spinning Mills Limited ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. The share has risen 27.68 percent to its highest price.
Eastern Bank Limited has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. The share has dropped 16.51 percent lowest in the last week.
