On the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Fitr and Pohela Boishakh, the country’s main stock exchange, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), will remain closed for a total of 5 days. Among them, there will be a weekly holiday for 2 days. This was stated in a press release sent from the DSE on Tuesday (April 9).
According to the statement, considering 30 days, the holiday will start from tomorrow, Wednesday. It will end on Sunday, April 14. On the occasion of Pohela Boishakh, the stock exchange will remain closed on Sunday. As a result, trading will resume in the money market on April 15, after a 5-day closure.
It was also reported that trading in the stock market was going on as usual from 9 am to 1:40 pm during Ramadan. Additionally, the post-closing session lasted from 1:40 pm to 2:00 pm. However, after the end of Ramadan, the main stock market of the country will return to its previous schedule.
According to the DSE, trading in the money market will start at the usual time from 10 am to 2:20 pm from April 15. The post-closing session will be from 2:20 pm to 2:30 pm. However, office hours will be from 9 am to 4 pm from morning to evening.
