Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, BGMEA, has signed an MoU with AYAT Education and Integral Global to enhance the health and wellness of more than 30,000 garment employees in Bangladesh on Thursday, 13 October.
In a statement posted on Facebook, AYAT Education, known to be a Bangladeshi organization, said that the purpose of the tri-party MoU is to strengthen wellness and productivity among garment employees while mitigating the spread of respiratory illness and COVID-19 across factories and communities in Bangladesh.
Nusrat Aman, CEO of AYAT Education, Faruque Hassan, BGMEA President, and Nabil Ahmed, Founder and Director of Integral Global, signed the MoU.
“This tri-party partnership will enable AYAT Education to collaborate with 5 garment factories to increase the basic health and hygiene awareness of the workers, motivate and assist them to complete COVID-19 vaccination (second dose and booster dose), and prepare a digital toolkit (website) with preventive measures and best industry practices for factory management,” the statement said.
