Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a drop in Indices, Turnover & Market Capitlization throughout the whole week. This information was disclosed in the weekly market review from the DSE.
According to sources, (4 working days) the turnover of DSE lost by Tk 1 thousand 751 crore 38 lakh (May 12 – May 16). At the same time, the market capitalization has decreased by 48 thousand 757 crore 84 lakh taka.
The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ dropped by 205.2 points or 3.72 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 5,312 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ lost 52.62 points or 4.34 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,159 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ decreased by 66.29 points or 3.36 percent, hence the index stands at 1,907 points.
Shares and units worth 2 thousand 70 crore 2 lakh taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 6 lakh 53 thousand 66 crore 72 lakh taka.
Shares and units of 386 companies were traded on Bourse during the week. Of these, 20 shares were unchanged, 338 companies declined, and 28 companies advanced.
Unilever Consumer Care Limited has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. The Company records an average turnover of 34 crore 10 lakh taka.
Mithun Knitting Limited ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. The share has risen 28.74 percent to its highest price.
Sonali Aansh Industries Limited has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. The share has dropped 49.72 percent lowest in the last week.
