The country’s stock markets will remain closed from June 14 (Friday) to June 18 (Tuesday) for a total of five days due to Eid-ul-Azha and weekly holidays. During this period, there will be no trading or official activities at both stock exchanges.
According to sources from the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), the main stock markets, DSE and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), will halt trading activities from Friday to Tuesday due to the holy Eid-ul-Azha and weekly holidays.
The official holiday list indicates that the Eid holidays will commence the day before Eid, on June 16 (Sunday), and continue until June 18 (Tuesday). Prior to this, June 14 and June 15 (Friday and Saturday) are weekly holidays. As a result, stock market trading and official activities will be suspended for a total of five days.
Regular trading and official activities in the stock markets and related institutions will resume on June 19 (Wednesday).
