Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned to Bangladesh early Thursday morning, concluding her three-day official visit to China. A special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the prime minister touched down at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 1 AM, according to her office.
During the visit, from July 8 to 10, Prime Minister Hasina held meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Wednesday.
In the delegation-level meeting on Wednesday morning, Bangladesh and China signed 21 cooperation documents, primarily memorandums of understanding (MoUs), aimed at enhancing development and economic cooperation between the two nations.
In addition to the signed agreements, Bangladesh and China announced seven key outcomes, including the conclusion of a joint feasibility study on a Bangladesh-China Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
Prime Minister Hasina embarked on her official visit to Beijing on Monday morning at the invitation of her Chinese counterpart, Premier Li Qiang.
