Departure from Dubai
Nobel laureate Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus departed from Dubai at 10 am BST and is expected to land in Dhaka around 2 pm today. His journey began from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris on Wednesday.

Reason for France Visit
Dr. Yunus was in France for a minor medical procedure. His return is timed to coincide with his new role as chief adviser to the interim government.
Government Decision
The decision to appoint Dr. Yunus was made on Tuesday, August 6, during a meeting between a 13-member team from the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and President Mohammed Shahabuddin, alongside the chiefs of the three military forces, confirmed by the President’s press wing.
Upcoming Interim Government
Nahid Islam, one of the coordinators of the student movement, announced to the media around 12:15 am on Tuesday, “An interim government will be announced within 24 hours.” He mentioned that a list of 10-15 individuals had been presented, though it remains confidential as discussions with political parties are still ongoing.
