Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a positive performance in Indices, Turnover & Market Capitalization throughout the whole week, This information was disclosed in the weekly market review from the DSE.
According to sources, (4 working days) the turnover of DSE added by Tk 48 crore 13 lakh (August 25 – August 29). At the same time, the market capitalization has increased by 6 thousand 749 crore 74 lakh taka.
The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ added by 104.50 points or 1.83 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 5,804 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ gained 22.18 points or 1.82 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,241 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ increased by 34.12 points or 1.63 percent, hence the index stands at 2,124 points.
Shares and units worth 3 thousand 170 crore 18 lakh taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 6 lakh 99 thousand 581 crore 54 lakh taka.
Shares and units of 397 companies were traded on Bourse during the week. Of these, 18 shares were unchanged, 86 companies declined, and 293 companies advanced.
British American Tobacco Bangladesh Limited has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. The Company records an average turnover of 69 crore 57 lakh taka.
Khan Brothers PP Woven Bag Industries Limited ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. The share has risen 28.96 percent to its highest price.
Sonali Aansh Industries Limited has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. The share price has dropped 13.89 percent lowest in the last week.
