The CSE30 Index has undergone its biannual review and revision, with changes based on the performance of companies listed on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE). The newly updated index will take effect on September 10, 2024.
The revised CSE30 Index now includes ten new companies: Bangladesh National Insurance Company Limited, Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC, Bank Asia PLC, British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company Limited, BSRM Steels Limited, Delta Life Insurance Company Ltd., DBH Finance PLC, Matin Spinning Mills PLC, NRBC Bank PLC, and Square Textiles PLC.
In contrast, ten companies have been excluded from the previous index lineup. These are Apex Footwear Limited, Export Import Bank of Bangladesh PLC, Far East Knitting & Dyeing Industries Ltd., Green Delta Insurance PLC, Mercantile Bank PLC, Navana CNG Limited, Popular Life Insurance Company Ltd., Pubali Bank PLC, Summit Alliance Port Limited, and Summit Power Limited.
The updated CSE30 Index now consists of the following companies:
AAMRA Networks Limited, Bangladesh National Insurance Company Limited, Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC, Bank Asia PLC, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd., BRAC Bank PLC, British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company Limited, BSRM Steels Limited, City Bank PLC, Delta Life Insurance Company Ltd., DBH Finance PLC, Eastern Bank PLC, Eastern Housing Limited, IDLC Finance PLC, Jamuna Oil Company Limited, LafargeHolcim Bangladesh Limited, Matin Spinning Mills PLC, Meghna Petroleum Limited, MJL Bangladesh PLC, NRBC Bank PLC, Olympic Industries Limited, Padma Oil Company Limited, Prime Bank PLC, Square Pharmaceuticals PLC, Square Textiles PLC, The ACME Laboratories Ltd., The Premier Bank PLC, Unique Hotel & Resorts PLC, and Uttara Bank PLC.
The CSE30 Index now represents 27.86% of the total market capitalization and 34.85% of the free-float market capitalization of all stocks listed on the CSE.
