Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a negative performance in Indices, & Market Capitalization, on the other hand Turnover Hikes, throughout the whole week, This information was disclosed in the weekly market review from the DSE.
According to sources, (5 working days) the turnover of DSE added by Tk 823 crore 87 lakh (September 1 – September 5). At the same time, the market capitalization has decreased by 7 thousand 150 crore 36 lakh taka.
The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ lost by 75.77 points or 1.31 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 5,728 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ dropped 12.45 points or 1.00 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,228 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ decreased by 10.35 points or 0.49 percent, hence the index stands at 2,114 points.
Shares and units worth 3 thousand 994 crore 6 lakh taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 6 lakh 92 thousand 431 crore 18 lakh taka.
Shares and units of 395 companies were traded on Bourse during the week. Of these, 8 shares were unchanged, 311 companies declined, and 76 companies advanced.
BRAC Bank PLC has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. The Company records an average turnover of 41 crore 45 lakh taka.
Linde Bangladesh Limited ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. The share has risen 33.75 percent to its highest price.
New Line Clothings Limited has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. The share price has dropped 27.31 percent lowest in the last week.
