Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a mixed performance in Indices, drop in Market Capitalization, on the other hand Turnover Surges, throughout the whole week, This information was disclosed in the weekly market review from the DSE.
According to sources, (5 working days) the turnover of DSE added by Tk 944 crore 19 lakh (September 22 – September 26). At the same time, the market capitalization has decreased by 9 thousand 950 crore 37 lakh taka.
The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ declined by 96.14 points or 1.68 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 5,639 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ added 4.13 points or 0.33 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,261 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ decreased by 41.51 points or 1.97 percent, hence the index stands at 2,064 points.
Shares and units worth 3 thousand 396 crore 54 lakh taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 6 lakh 85 thousand 621 crore 24 lakh taka.
Shares and units of 396 companies were traded on Bourse during the week. Of these, 7 shares were unchanged, 349 companies declined, and 40 companies advanced.
BRAC Bank PLC has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. The Company records an average turnover of 48 crore 39 lakh taka.
Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. The share has risen 30.36 percent to its highest price.
New Line Clothing Limited has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. The share price has dropped 25.08 percent lowest in the last week.
