Bangladesh will not accept International Monetary Fund, IMF loan with “tough conditions”, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said on Wednesday, 9 November.
The Minister, hence, didn’t discuss what he meant by “tough conditions.”
Obaidul Quader was talking to the news reporters at his secretariat office.
There is the crisis over dollars and pressure on Forex: foreign reserves, the necessity of loan, added that “we will receive IMF loan but not with tough conditions.”
“Discussion is going on. We will accept what is logical. There is no alternative but taking the loan.” he also said.
“We are aware of the conditions that the International Monetary Fund, IMF, mentioned prior. We will not approve any conditions that can hurt the nation’s interest,” he added in conclusion
