According to sources, the market capitalization of DSE dropped by Tk 3 thousand 454 crore 32 lakh 42 thousand 490 last week. At the same time, the transaction has dropped by 952 crore 6 lakh 1 thousand 524 taka.
The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ lost 50.88 points or 0.81 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 6,215 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ deducted 10.08 points or 0.74 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,354 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ shed 10.24 points or 0.47 percent, hence the index stands at 2,189 points.
Shares and units worth 2 thousand 67 crore 95 lakh 92 thousand 482 taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange last week. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 63 thousand 625 crore 66 lakh 67 thousand 821 taka.
Shares and units of 399 companies were traded on DSE during the week. Of these, 275 shares were unchanged. 80 companies declined, while 23 companies advanced.
