The new Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, who was born in the middle class family at 1947 in Northern Penang Island. His father Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman was an employee of a private hospital and subsequently served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health Department. Anwar Ibrahim’s mother Che Yan binti Hussein was a housewife.
