BD signs $200m deal with ADB

Asian Development Bank (ADB) has given $200 million loan to Bangladesh. According to Bangladesh currency 2 thousand 73 crore 80 lakh taka.

On Tuesday (6 December), in the capital, Bangladesh Government & ADB have signed this deal.

Under the Micro Enterprise Financing and Credit Enhancement Project, a loan agreement and project agreement worth 200 million dollars was signed.

The managing director of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), the top financial institution developed by the government in the Bangladesh Residential Mission Project Agreement. Signed by Dr. Nomita Halder and ADB Country Director Edimon Ginting.

From this project, loans will be given to small entrepreneurs, especially women entrepreneurs. This project will play an important role in providing loans to small entrepreneurs and the economic empowerment of women entrepreneurs. The activities of this project will end on December 31, 2027.

Since 1973, ADB has been one of Bangladesh’s leading development partners. ADB has so far provided USD 27.22 billion in loan assistance and zero USD 537 billion in grant assistance to Bangladesh.
