Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is leaving for Cox’s Bazar after 5 years. Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate 29 development projects worth Tk 1963.86 crore under various ministries and departments in Cox’s Bazar and lay the foundation stone of four projects.
After that, Pm will lecture at 2 pm at Cox’s Bazar Sheikh Kamal Stadium in the public meeting organized by Cox’s Bazar district Awami League.
From the development instructions, it is known that, Out of Tk 1963.86 crore, 29 development projects have been implemented at a cost of Tk 1392.37 crore and the four projects launched today are estimated at Tk 571.49 crore.
The foundation stones of the 4 projects to be laid today, (7 December) are – Bangladesh Oceanographic Research Institute Project (Phase 2), the construction of 153.25 m long jetty at Dhurung Ghat and another 153.25 m long jetty at Akbar Ali Ghat on Dhurung GC Mirakhali Road. Construction of jetty at Kutubdia Upazila, Moheshkhali Gorakghata Ghat and rehabilitation of polders (67/A, 67, 67/E and 68) along Naf River under Ukhia and Teknaf Upazilas to increase security at the Bangladesh-Myanmar border in Cox’s Bazar district.
