The securities regulator has stated all concerned to be more aware in publishing news of the stock market for the sake of its welfare.
The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has requested to contact the officer-in-charge of the commission to verify the accuracy of the information and report.
The statement said that BSEC as a regulatory body is always trying to provide necessary information to journalists related to the stock market.
Furthermore, the commission always provides information through the spokesperson as expected by the media and journalists and will continue to do so sincerely in the future.
The commission also routinely provides statutory information as required by the Securities Act. Also, BSEC provides information in various formats as per RTI Act upon application due process as per RTI Act.
The Facebook page of BSEC also mentions that the stock market is considered a very sensitive sector in the economy. Therefore, there is an obligation to publish information related to the stock market in a proper manner.
Incomplete or insufficient information in the flow of information can often lead to incomplete ideas or misconceptions.
Therefore, stock market-related process data cannot be released before the process is complete.
