Despite Trade Drops, Index Hikes on Weekly DSE

DSE Bourse Index Capitalization Weekly hikes bull market

Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a drop in trading, market capitalization & index hike.

According to sources, the market capitalization of DSE dropped by Tk 123 crore 69 lakh 52 thousand 839 (26 December – 29 December) At the same time, the transaction has dropped by 608 crore 86 lakh 41 thousand 444 taka.

The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ increased 4.60 points or 0.07 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 6,206 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ rose 1.19 points or 0.09 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,358 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ lost 0.79 points or 0.04 percent, hence the index stands at 2,195 points.

Shares and units worth 1 thousand 72 crore 33 lakh 66 thousand 208 taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 60 thousand 936 crore 89 lakh 86 thousand 932 taka.

Shares and units of 400 companies were traded on DSE during the week. Of these, 197 shares were unchanged. 117 companies declined, while 67 companies advanced.

Orion Infusion Limited has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. It is known that 11 lakh 70 thousand 280 shares of the company were traded throughout the week. Its market value is 138 crore 93 lakh 44 thousand takas.

Islami Commercial Insurance Company Limited has ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. It is known that the share traded a total of Tk 5 lakh 55 thousand, which is an average of 1 lakh 37 thousand 500 taka per day. The share has risen 45.60 pc to its highest price.

Monno Ceramic Limited has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. It is known the share traded a total of Tk 44 crore 47 lakh 10 thousand, which is an average of 8 crore 15 lakh 3 thousand 800 share per day. The share has dropped 6.12 percent lowest in the last week.
