Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a dropped in market capitalization and index. On the other hand, Turnover hiked. This information was disclosed in the weekly market review from the DSE

According to sources, the market capitalization of DSE dropped by Tk 288 crore 2 lakh 59 thousand 605 (5 February – 9 February) At the same time, the turnover has hiked by 404 crore 11 lakh 69 thousand 29 taka.

The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ dropped 11.43 points or 0.18 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 6,283 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ shed 2.07 points or 0.15 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,371 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ hiked 4.62 points or 0.21 percent, hence the index stands at 2,235 points.

Shares and units worth 3 thousand 243 crore 66 lakh 79 thousand 172 taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 67 thousand 50 crore 15 lakh 51 thousand 928 taka.

Shares and units of 401 companies were traded on DSE during the week. Of these, 200 shares were unchanged. 138 companies declined, while 42 companies advanced.

Genex Infosys Limited has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. It is known that 3 crore 4 lakh 28 thousand 964 shares of the company were traded throughout the week. Its market value is 327 crore 15 lakh 22 thousand takas.

Apex Footwear Limited has ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. It is known that the share traded a total of Tk 46 crore 31 lakh 1 thousand, which is an average of 9 crore 26 lakh 20 thousand 200 taka per day. The share has risen 16.84 pc to its highest price.

Pragati Life Insurance Limited has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. It is known the share traded a total of Tk 31 crore 52 lakh 42 thousand, which is an average of 6 crore 30 lakh 48 thousand 400 share per day. The share has dropped 15.91 percent lowest in the last week.
