Index, Turnover Shrinks on DSE

Dhaka Stock Exchange DSE, Bourses on the third working day of the week, February 14, ended with price index & turnover drops.

435 crores 41 lakh shares were traded in DSE on this day. 2 crores 31 lakhs less trading was done in DSE today compared to the previous workday, 13 February, Shares worth Tk 435 crores 41 lakh shares were traded in DSE last time, Monday.

The benchmark index DSEX dropped 14.69 points or 6,256. The Shariah-based index DSES shed 3.37 points or 1,368, and the blue-chip index DS30 lost 5.43 points or 2,226.

Of the issues traded, 23 advanced, 143 declined, and 143 remained unchanged.

Navana CNG Limited ranked top gainer on DSE, the share price increased by Tk 1.8 paisa or 8.04 percent. On this day, the share was last traded at Tk 24.20 paisa.

On the other hand, BD Thai Food Limited ranked top loser on the DSE, the share price dropped by Tk 1.6 paisa or 4.16 percent. On this day, the share was last traded at Tk 36.90 paisa.

DSE topped on trade Olympic Industries Limited, 31 crores 27 lakh 59 thousand takas of shares of the company have been traded.

A total of 72 companies’ shares were traded in the Block on Dhaka Stock Exchange, 88 lakh 99 thousand 159 shares of the companies were traded. The financial value of which is 40 crore 36 lakh taka.

On the other hand, DSE-SME (Small & Medium Enterprises) Index dropped to 22.50 points which now stood at 1,104 points. The total turnover stops by the end of the day at 1 crore 2 lakh.

ATB (Alternate Trading Board) Platform, LankaBangla Securities Limited turnover stood at 68 lakh 53 thousand.
