Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a dropped in turnover, market capitalization and index.  This information was disclosed in the weekly market review from the DSE

According to sources, (4 working days) the market capitalization of DSE dropped by Tk 1 thousand 621 crore 71 lakh 59 thousand 792 (19 February – 23 February) At the same time, the turnover has lost by 1 thousand 18 crore 68 lakh 48 thousand 534 taka.

The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ dropped 41.09 points or 0.66 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 6,205 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ shed 10.76 points or 0.79 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,355 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ lost 2.86 points or 0.13 percent, hence the index stands at 2,221 points.

Shares and units worth 1 thousand 92 crore 51 lakh 20 thousand 305 taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 62 thousand 226 crore 98 lakh 31 thousand 148 taka.

Shares and units of 400 companies were traded on DSE during the week. Of these, 182 shares were unchanged. 153 companies declined, while 15 companies advanced.

Bangladesh Shipping Corporation has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. It is known that 55 lakh 92 thousand 193 shares of the company were traded throughout the week. Its market value is 75 crore 99 lakh 80 thousand takas.

ICB AMCL CMSF Golden Jubilee Mutual Fund has ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. It is known that the share traded a total of Tk 65 lakh 63 thousand, which is an average of 16 lakh 40 thousand 750 taka per day. The share has risen 20 pc to its highest price.

Bangladesh General Insurance Company Limited has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. It is known the share traded a total of Tk 38 lakh 55 thousand, which is an average of 9 lakh 63 thousand 750 shares per day. The share has dropped 19.10 percent lowest in the last week.
