Eid-ul-Fitr 2023 is one of the most important festivals for Muslims all over the World. The day marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The entire month, the devotees observe fast from dusk to dawn. The month-long fasting, which is considered to be one the sternest ones, ends on the eve of Eid after sighting the first crescent of the new moon. Ramadan is the holiest month for the followers of Islam.

As per the belief, Allah on this day delivered the first verses of the Quran. As per tales, the month of Ramadan started when Prophet Mohammad migrated from Mecca to Medina. This festival is celebrated with a lot of fervour and joy. People worldwide greet each other, exchange gifts and feast on special delicacies.

The people from Bangladesh are mostly Muslim Majorities, the celebration of Eid is fascinating as the holiday is at least 3 days, an opportunity for those who stays apart from their families can pay a visit, and also those who also had wife and children.

Dhaka is to observe the Eid-Ul-Fitr on Saturday (22 April), as many other parts of Bangladesh have already observed on Friday (21 April) which they used to follow the Saudi Time.
