China Hosts Digital Empowered Automotive Industry Outbound Development Forum

Digital Empowered Automotive Industry Outbound Development Forum was held in China’s Henan province with the participation of Foreign and Chinese delegations. On the afternoon of May 10, with the theme of “Digitalization Empowers the Globalization of the Automobile Industry”, the forum was successfully held at Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The forum is jointly hosted by the Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government, the Henan Provincial Department of Commerce, and the China-Europe Association for Economic and Technical Cooperation, and organized by the Zhengzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee.

Wang Yimin, Deputy Secretary General of Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government; Chen Jingyue, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of the China-Europe Association for Economic and Technical Cooperation; Prof. Chen Qingquan, an academician of the China Academy of Engineering; Liu Dan, Deputy Director of Administrative Committee of Zhengzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone; Wang Xiaowu, Director of China International Material & Equipment Trade Cooperation Center; Xu Haidong, Deputy Chief Engineer of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers; Helmuts Kols, Transport Counselor of the Latvian Embassy in China; Peng Xu, Deputy Director of Overseas Marketing of Yutong Group Company Limited; and many others spoke in the forum.

At the forum, the industry experts focused on the integrated development of cross-border e-commerce and the automobile industry; and exchanged, shared, and conducted in-depth discussions about the overseas layout of new energy vehicle sales and promotion, and the expansion of cross-border commodity export channels.

At the forum, Zhengzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee signed contracts with 7 projects with a total contract amount of 3.74 billion yuan. Included local government and automotive industry representatives, there were also representatives from Greece, Belgium, Spain, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, and other countries who attend the forum.
