The insurance sector emerged as the top performer in the stock market of Bangladesh in the outgoing week.
Throughout the week, there was a significant expansion in the insurance sector. Out of the eight companies leading the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) in terms of top gainer, all of them belonged to the insurance sector. This information has been revealed through the weekly market analysis conducted by the DSE.
According to sources, Trust Islami Life Insurance has secured the top position in terms of top gainer in the DSE. The company’s share value in the insurance sector has increased by 60% in just one week.
Following closely in second place on the growth list in the insurance sector is Meghna Insurance Company Limited. Their shares witnessed a growth of 43.81% during the week. Another company in this sector, Paramount Insurance, saw a rise of 32.81% in their share value.
In addition to these top-ranking companies, other notable insurers that experienced growth during the week include Global Insurance, Oimex Electrode, Rupali Life Insurance, Islamic Insurance, Simtex Industries, Chartered Life Insurance, and Continental Insurance.
