US Stock Indices Display Volatile Week

During the past week, the three primary U.S. large-cap stock indices all recorded weekly increases. Interestingly, both the NASDAQ and the S&P 500 demonstrated substantial outperformance compared to the Dow, continuing a trend seen in the preceding week. Furthermore, when it comes to market capitalization, a benchmark representing small-cap stocks notably surpassed its counterparts focused on large-cap assets.

Reviewing the US Stock Markets, the Nasdaq Composite, recorded a decent drop of 270 points, reaching a closing value of 13,761 points by the end of the week. Similarly, the S&P 500 index showed a negative trend, losing 58 points to settle at 4,457 points. Meanwhile, DJIA Index experienced a notable shed, losing by 261 points during the week and concluding at 34,576 points after a week of gains.

In contrast, Russell 3000 Index saw a losing in week performance, with a lossof 38 points to reach 2,557 points by the end of the week.

Moving to Russell 2000 Index, demonstrated a notable drop of 69 points, ending the week at a steady 1,951 points.
