Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister, Dr. AK Abdul Momen, expressed the country’s support for the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling in favor of Guyana during a virtual meeting of the Commonwealth Ministerial Group on Guyana (CMGG).
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 78th UNGA in New York on September 17, Sunday. Dr. Momen, who chaired the meeting, reaffirmed Bangladesh’s commitment to its role as chair of the CMGG and its unwavering support for Guyana’s territorial integrity. The discussion included updates on recent developments in Guyana, and the ministers agreed to draft a concluding statement for the Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Meeting on September 21.
