The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Kazi Habibul Awal, has called upon field-level officials to execute their responsibilities impartially in the upcoming parliamentary election. Speaking as the chief guest at an event focused on election management, he emphasized the crucial role of local officials, reminding them of their representation of the government.
Awal acknowledged the challenges involved in organizing elections and stressed the need for dedicated fulfillment of their responsibilities. He highlighted the importance of gaining public acceptance of the election process, emphasizing the necessity of demonstrating fairness to the citizens. He also underscored the significance of enabling people to freely exercise their voting rights, deeming it a significant success.
Election Commissioner Ahsan Habib Khan, addressing the officials, urged them to learn from past criticisms and collectively set an example for conducting fair elections in the future. He commended their neutrality and cooperation in previous elections, which have been conducted without incidents of violence and in a celebratory atmosphere.
