The Mongla Port Authority (MPA) has taken a significant step towards digitalization by introducing the ‘e-Payment System Service’ at the Mongla Sea Port. This initiative, inaugurated by MPA Chairman Rear Admiral Mir Ershad Ali, aims to streamline and simplify the process of revenue collection, aligning with the broader goal of transforming Mongla Port into a smart port.
During the inauguration ceremony, Ershad Ali highlighted the MPA’s commitment to supporting the vision of a smart Bangladesh and Vision-2041. The ‘e-Payment System Service’ is expected to contribute to this vision by offering users of Mongla Port a convenient and efficient platform for various services, including online bill payments.
Key attendees at the ceremony included Captain Md Asaduzzaman and Dr A K M Anisur Rahman, members of MPA, along with Md Makruzzaman, Secretary of MPA, Chief Finance cum Accounts Officer Md Siddiqur Rahman, and representatives from BRAC Bank PLC.
