In an address during the 44th national rally-2024 of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP), Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called upon the members to demonstrate courage and sincerity in thwarting any malicious attempts to compromise public security.
Addressing the gathering at the Bangladesh Ansar-VDP Academy in Shafipur, Gazipur, the Prime Minister emphasized the pivotal role of the force as the largest in the country, urging them to fulfill their responsibilities with integrity. She stressed the need to resist any nefarious activities with honesty, courage, and dedication to protect the safety of the public.
Highlighting the sacred duty of her government, Sheikh Hasina underscored the importance of ensuring security for the people and investments while maintaining peace. She asserted that political stability, a conducive economic environment, and the continuation of democratic governance are essential for the overall development of the country, urging all to contribute to maintaining such an environment.
Reflecting on the development achieved during her government’s tenure, the Prime Minister expressed confidence in Bangladesh’s capacity to handle various situations. Sheikh Hasina called on everyone to work diligently and honestly to sustain the country’s developmental progress.
Acknowledging the significant contribution of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP, the country’s largest force with 61 lakh members and 42 battalions, including two women battalions and a specialized battalion, she recalled their role in ensuring security for public and private structures and organizations.
