The holy night of Shab-e-Barat, known as the night of fortune, will be observed nationwide tonight with profound religious fervor and devotion. The Islamic Foundation (IF) has organized programs at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, including religious sermons (waz) and doa-mahfils.
President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina extended greetings to Muslims worldwide on this occasion. President Shahabuddin highlighted the significance of Shab-e-Barat, emphasizing its role as a night of good fortune, offering opportunities for special grace and forgiveness from Almighty Allah. He urged affluent individuals to assist the distressed and poor, wishing for progress, welfare, and unity for the Muslim Ummah.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina echoed the sentiment, stating that the night brings mercy and blessings for humanity, showcasing Allah’s greatness in forgiving and fulfilling desires. She encouraged dedicating oneself to human welfare and nation-building in line with Shab-e-Barat’s teachings, emphasizing the establishment of Islamic values at personal, social, and national levels while rejecting injustice, violence, and superstition.
