The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds in various parts of the country over the next 24 hours from 9:00 am today (25 February).
According to a bulletin from the meteorological office, the anticipated precipitation is likely to occur in one or two places across Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Sylhet divisions. The rest of the country is expected to experience mainly dry conditions with a temporary partly cloudy sky.
The bulletin also mentioned a slight decrease of (1-2) degrees Celsius in night temperatures, while day temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged nationwide.
On Saturday, the maximum temperature reached 31.2 degrees Celsius in Cumilla, Chattogram division. The minimum temperature recorded today is 13.0 degrees Celsius in Tetulia, Rangpur division.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours, until 6 am today, was reported at 28 millimeters (mm) in Bogura, Rajshahi division.
In the capital, the sun is set to set at 5:59 pm today and rise at 6:24 am tomorrow.
