During the 5th round of Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) between Bangladesh and Belarus at the State Guest House Padma, Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen sought Belarus’s support for a Free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
He encouraged Belarusian entrepreneurs to invest in Bangladesh’s Special Economic Zones and High-tech Parks. Led by Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Evgeny Shestakov, the consultations covered various aspects of bilateral relations, including agricultural, educational, military cooperation, and collaboration in science and technology.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the current status of bilateral relations and discussed further strengthening ties. Belarus also expressed interest in importing manpower from Bangladesh and offering educational opportunities to Bangladeshi students in Belarus. The parties emphasized completing necessary procedures for signing pending bilateral instruments.
