The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted rain or thundershowers in five divisions, including Dhaka, within a 24-hour period starting from 6 pm on Saturday.
According to the BMD, “Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely to occur at one or two places across Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.”
Elsewhere in the country, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky, as stated in the bulletin.
Both day and night temperatures may experience a slight rise across the country.
On Friday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 36.5 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga.
Additionally, a trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas, while a seasonal low remains over the South Bay.
