Dhaka city and its surrounding areas are bracing for a potential Nor’wester today, with an expected arrival time around 10:30 am on April 7.
Meteorologist Mostofa Kamal Polash, a PhD researcher specializing in meteorology and climate at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada, warns of thunderstorms, lightning, and hail in Dhaka and nearby districts.
Polash forecasts the onset of rain and storms in Dhaka city between 9:30 am and 11 am, with the precipitation likely to persist for 1 to 2 hours.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) had previously predicted thunderstorms across parts of the country, offering a potential reprieve from the prevailing heat wave.
