The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted rains or thunder showers in Dhaka and seven other divisions within the next 24 hours, starting from 6 pm on Sunday. According to a bulletin issued by the Met office on Monday, the prediction includes the likelihood of “rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind” in several areas. Specifically, these conditions are expected in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, while Mymensingh and Rangpur divisions may experience them at one or two places, with hails possible at isolated locations.

Additionally, the Met office has noted a potential drop in day and night temperatures by (1-2)°C across the country. A mild heat wave is currently sweeping through Rajshahi and Dinajpur, although it is expected to abate soon.
The highest temperature recorded in the country was in Rajshahi, reaching 36.7 degrees Celsius. This data reflects the prevailing weather conditions in different regions of Bangladesh.
